SPOTTED: Batman filling up his Lamborghini in Cambridge

Wicked Local Cambridge

Batman stopped through Cambridge last Wednesday, Nov. 14, to fill up his Lamborghini’s gas tank before heading back on his journey around the country to visit sick children in hospitals.

“I wanted to have the real Batmobile, to build it from the ground up,” he said. “With his talent as a builder and my vision, we built our own car.”

And although he never revealed his face, Robinson himself has the build and jawline fit for Batman, and that, along with a fully equipped Batmobile, only adds to the fantasy.

WHAT’S NEXT FOR BATMAN?

Robinson will continue his yearlong road trip around the country, having already visited hospitals in Illinois, Ohio, West Virginia, New York, among others. He is now seeking donations for families who can’t afford to pay their children’s medical bills.

“I ask for donations so I can continue forward,” said Robinson. “There have been so many families who have come up to me with tears in their eyes because they can’t afford the payments. And even though they may have insurance, they can’t afford their portion, so we want to raise money for donations to give back to these families.”

Who knows when Cambridge will see Batman again, but the area, he said, has left an impression.

“I have been to a lot of hospitals, but Shriners touched me deeper than any place,” he said. “I was really moved by Shriners — wow.”
